Q. How did you get involved in your artistic medium?

JV: Both of my parents are self-employed artists so I was exposed to art at a very young age.

Q. What is a typical day at work for you?

JV: I schedule working days in my office. On a meeting day, I will go out into the field and meet with clients or presents my portfolio. On a working day, I will do creative brainstorming and conceptual drawings then execute my concepts on the computer.

Q. What do use as your workspace?

JV: My workspace needs to be creative space with interruptions. I try and surrounds myself with color and other artist art inspiration. Music is very important in my creative space.

Q. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

JV: I try not to think in those terms.

Q. How do you promote your services?

JV: All of my services to date have been mainly work of mouth.

Q. What advice would you give to other up and coming graphic designers?

JV: For myself it has been important to keep remembering why I went into art and design. I think the corporate world can help you to forget that.
